Traralgon South/Callignee Landcare Group

The Landcare group serving this district has had a quiet period for the last few years, but now moves are afoot to revitalise the group.

The group in the past has had a focus on controlling pest plants and animals. One of its assets is a spray unit on a trailer which is available for use by group members. This is a very useful piece of equipment to help in the control of Blackberries and Ragwort.

We are keen for people to express their interest in becoming a part of the group, in view of the widescale impact of the fires it will be a great opportunity for people to get together and share ideas and information on the best ways to promote recovery of the local landscape.

The group is backed by the Latrobe Catchment Landcare Network (a network of 22 groups) who’s staff work towards supporting groups in any way possible.
